This is a new staple in my make-up kit--the low SPF makes the TD content low...so you won't turn noticeably white when the flash goes off but still provides skin protection from harmful UV's.
It goes on ultra smooth and dries to a powdery finish--yet does not easily smear off. I apply it with a foundation brush and pat smoothly with a sponge and it works wonders...it blends perfectly well and comes in a variety of different shades.
The coverage with one coat is perfectly sufficient for my skin--but can easily be layered for more coverage. Despite its great coverage, it feels incredibly LIGHT on my face--I forget I have it on at all!
Most foundations either dry out my dry areas, or make my oily areas even oilier--this one does neither, it stays neutral and allows me to control my trouble areas as needed.
This product is NOT oil free...but does not cause me to break out in the slightest or give me oily skin (although I have a naturally "oily" T-zone to begin with)! It is absolutely fantastic!
Pros:Goes Smooth, Powdery Finish, Buildable Coverage, Light Feeling Cons:Contains Oil, Slightly Expensive, Still has SPF with Titanium Dioxide which DOES reflect in photos albeit slightly
To me this product is ideal for someone with oily, acne prone skin. Since I have been using it I have noticed a gradual reduction in my oiliness and a definite matte look as well. I love this product and I hope you do as well.
Pros:No more oiliness, beautiful complextion, movie star look Cons:None
i have tryed a many foundations. cover girl, maybellen, bareminerals, and a bunch of other drugstore foundations even clinique. by far id say revlon color stay is the best. i love it..good coverage stays on..matched my skin tone perfectly. its a litlle pricey but worth it. its glass too...so dont dropp ittt. it does dry fast so blendd quickly. but over all i love it so farr. the true test is after gym at school tmr.
Pros:good coverage stays on matches skintone well Cons:drys fast litlle pricey
this is an interesting foundation, you are supposed to spray it on your hand and apply to face. I have done that and sprayed it directly on my face and both work well. Its really easy to blend and feels so light but has medium to full coverage. I love it!
Pros:affordable, lightweight, nice coverage Cons:may be hard to find your skin color
i recently bought this foundation as never tryin rimmel foundation b4 n im on a mission in my life 2 find the perfect foundation 4 my acne/blackhead/scarred face ive tried a few but not as many as id like coz of price range but thought id giv this a go it says 16 hour transfer resistant i havent actualy had it on 4 as long as that but it lasted all day n nite till bedtime n it still looked fresh its very easy 2 apply aswel i did mine with clean fingers, its a good coverage i actualy do like it still see my scars n spots through this and my redness but guess thats wat concealer is 4
This foundation is the best I have ever tried, and for the price that it is (£22.50), I expected it to be good. I have been using this for about 10 days now and I love it. It covers every flaw, I don't even need to apply concealer first (minus under my lids). It literally does stay on all day, and I don't need to reapply like I did with my last foundation. I've fallen in love with this product, the only flaw I can think of is that there is no pump, so the product is a little harder to retrieve from the bottle.
Pros:amazing coverage, great blending Cons:no bottle pump
I bought this product on sale for $5.99, it is usually $9.99. the packaging makes the product look darker than it is. The brown packaging makes it look tan. i got it in the lightest shade - Light 0. it made me look yellowish. i am very pale. it does have a lighter feel to it than other liquid foundations, such as loreal truematch. but when i had opened it, there was no nozzle. the nozzle is supposed to be a dropper, shaped like the lid. but when i opened it there was product all in the lid. i guess thats why it was on sale. it was completely sealed but im sure they knocked off 40% of the price because of a damaged batch. i dont understand how a machine can make a mistake like that & you only notice it once its in every store. well, i fell like that was a piece of crap, no im thinking about debottling it & finding something else to put it in. that just irritates me so much. they didnt have a wide color selection. now there is product all over the opening & past the lid. UGH!!
Pros:supposed to be healthier. Cons:damaged contained, weird color,
Since they no longer make Studio Seamless, I bought this. It is a lighter coverage, but covers nicely and leaves a smooth, soft finish with just a tiny bit of radiance. Color has always been a challenge for me, but the Fair F1 works well on my almost colorless skin. The finish is pretty flawless as far as pores go, liquid formula spreads easily and is truly buildable if you want to go heavier. I've had it on now for 9 hours and my skin still looks nice, and unlike the Studio Seamless, I do not look or feel like I am wearing foundation, but the coverage is perfect for me. My skin is normal and no blemishes, a few extremely fine lines; it looks like my skin, only better. I'm not even wearing blush (which I hate) since my natural pink cheeks are not obliterated by the foundation. Dare I say, HG??? Too soon for that!
Pros:covers nicely, smooth, slight radiant finish, lasts for hours, looks natural Cons:Maybe price, but if you like it, price doesn't matter
I like Black Opal True Color Liquid Foundation. It's a drug store brand but serves it's purpose. I'm a fan of light-medium coverage because they look more natural. However, after using this foundation consistantly for 2 weeks, i noticed my face breaking out a lil. Now, it may be another product but hmmmmmm. it's something else that doesn't sit well with me. I believe it's the liquid aspect and my oily skin. I'll use this foundation as back up when I run out of a better one.
Pros:natural looking, dries matte Cons:oily skin pops back up in the middle of a fall day
I would buy this a million times over. Finally I have found my HG foundation! Great coverage(though I wouldn't consider it full coverage), and it truly lasts all day. I am an oily skinned person, and this(I use it with the ColorStay pressed powder) keeps me matte all day too. I have never had a foundation that did that before. And it doesn't get cakey. It doesn't settle into fine lines. The finish is nice and natural looking. I love that this is widely available, and very easily can be bought during a buy one get one free sale. Best of all no breakouts! Huge plus from me with my acne prone skin. There are a couple of things I didn't like. The heavy perfume smell. It's very strong. It seemed to set too quickly. I had to blend a little faster than I normally do. I seemed to need more than other foundations(though not a lot, just a tad), but the others I have used were a thicker consistency and that may be why. Also I would love it if they offered it with a pump. I have a thread here at MUT that shows a pic of me after 7 hours of use and it's still going strong. I have never had a foundation stay so fresh looking for so long. I am so beyond impressed I can't even tell you. Definitely must try this!
Pros:HG status!, lasts all day, keeps my oily skin matte for hours and hours, no break outs, natural finish, no cakiness, no settling into fine lines, widely available Cons:Smell, dries too fast, no pump, need a bit more product(not a lot, possibly due to kind of thin consistency)
This was just an OK foundation. The coverage was decent and no break outs, but it didn't hardly last at all. No perfumed smell or bad odors, and it was creamy and applied nicely. It never settle into pores or fine lines. It comes in a pump, which is great for not contaminating the rest of the product. The bottle is glass, which I wouldn't have expected from a Jane product. This stuff is OK, but I wouldn't recommend it because it just doesn't last long.
Pros:No breakouts, no bad smells, applies nicely, doesn't settle into fine lines or pores Cons:Coverage is only OK, doesn't last long
This was simply an OK foundation. The coverage was good, but it didn't last long like it claims(I have oily skin btw). I didn't break me out, and it wasn't overly perfumed or stinky. The consistency was kind of thick, close to pudding. I liked that, because I could pump it(love the pump for keeping teh product free of bacteria) and have a small blob on my hand I could dip by foundation brush in. I like the glass bottle it comes in and the pump, but the lid doesn't stay on well at all. It's kind of annoying how easily it pops off. It spreads well, and I got really nice even coverage. It didn't settle into lines, didn't get cakey, and looked nice and smooth. If you don't have oily skin you may find that you like this, but for my skin it just wore off too quickly. For that reason I would not repurchase.
Pros:Good coverage, no breakouts, no bad smells, applies beautifully, doesn't settle into lines Cons:Wears off too quickly, lid is annoying
This tinted moisturizer has been a life saver for me. I recently had broken out rather bad and this was just about the only type of coverage I could use that didnt aggrevate my skin. The moisturizer goes on very light, doesnt feel like a foundation at all, yet it is buildable. Because it is not a foundation, it is not really a 'full coverage' sort of foundation but it did cover more than I had anticipated. It is a bit expensive, but it is WELL worth the price, whether you just want some lighter for the summer months or you're looking for something less heavy if you have problematic skin.
Also because it is a moisturizer it is easier to blend and find your color match.
The only thing I saw as a 'con' was that this gives more of a dewy finish, which is not necessarily bad but if you're used to more of a matte finsh you may be dissapointed....but I would assume that if you applied a powder that this would matte you up a bit. Im not as used to a dewy sort of finish so at times I felt I looked oily
Pros:lightweight, blends well, easy on problem skin, buildable Cons:price, dewy finish
I have this in C1 and N1 and blend to get the right shade. It's ok, imo, but I won't purchase it again, the coverage and finish didn't quite do it for me. I did like the bottle though, makes it easier to see the true color at the store.
Pros:Didn't break me out Cons:Price, finish left something to be desired.
I have a friend who just raved and raved about MAC Cosmetics so I gave in and decided to try one of their foundations. From the get go I was not impressed. The makeup artist picked a color that was way too dark and I ended up picking out a lighter one myself and applying it with them watching because my skill was better than theirs. Even the lightest one was a little too dark making it hard to blend effectively into the jawline. Like an idiot I thought it was just the harsh store lighting but color looked worse outside! I echo many reviews in saying that this product is very yellow!! Not for us pale girls at all! Coloring issues aside it does provide nice coverage for a short time, but I found that it tends to slide around and clump together if you don't reapply powder several times a day. I am sad to say that I would NOT recommend this product, and I had such high hopes!!!!
When I was in NYC at the end of July, I schlepped over to the MUFE store from Penn Station in the brief time I had before I had to catch the A train to JFK just so I could try this foundation. Of course, my color was sold out but they gave me a sample. Can I just say love? The first couple of times I tried it, I used a foundation brush and it didn't come out that great, plus it flaked on my chin. Turns out the flaking was from a sunscreen I've been using. With a good primer, this stuff stays on really well and with a Sonia Kashuk elliptical sponge it applies beautifully (I stipple). One of the things I *love* about it is that when I apply it, I don't look like I'm wearing foundation -- it looks like my skin. It also looks amazing in photographs. MUFE has created a very wide range of shades in this foundation, too, which is great. If I actually start getting wedding clients, I'm going to be buying this for foundation.
Pros:Looks like my own skin only better, very lightweight feel, photographs well, beautiful in person... Cons:Expensive! Also, without primer it doesn't look as good, but isn't that true of most, if not all, foundations?
I used Face & Body foundation for my wedding and I've worn it both before and since. Every time, it's stayed on until I take it off. The only problem is that I need to do multiple coats because it's so sheer. It looks like my skin only better and it photographs beautifully.
Pros:Stays on all day *and* night, doesn't sweat off, doesn't run with tears, basically it doesn't budge, looks like my natural skin, feels so lightweight sometimes I forget I'm wearing it. Cons:Need multiple applications for good coverage, have to wait between each "coat" for the foundation to dry, which takes a little while. Also, it has a strong fragrance which could be a problem for some people and the glass bottle, while durable, is a little heavy.
